Polyurethane Buffers & Bumpers

With modern production machinery being operated at high speeds it is important that the energy at the end of travel is efficiently absorbed. Rubber buffers were once a suitable solution but are limited by the in-compressible nature of the material.

In recent years cellular polyurethane buffers have become the favoured product for absorbing end stop impacts, having a high rate of energy absorption and long compression strokes.

Typical uses for polyurethane buffers include:

  • Crane bumpers, which are designed to provide end damping for a large range of crane and trolley systems.
  • Elevator buffers, designed to provide end cushioning in the event that an elevator travels past its final position.
